For restaurants, cafés and bars

The table orders.
The kitchen answers.

Guests scan the QR and order on their phone, in their own language. The order lands straight on the kitchen and bar screens, with no paper and no mix-ups, and your waiters just bring it to the table. At the end, the bill splits itself.

  • No card to try it

How it works
01 — the table

Scan the QR

The menu opens on the phone, in the reader's language. This guest is English; your kitchen still reads it in Portuguese.

02 — the table

Choose and order

Without waiting for anyone, and always at the price on your menu.

03 — kitchen and bar

The order splits

The octopus goes to the kitchen tablet, the beer to the bar's. Each queue only sees what is its own.

04 — kitchen and bar

Everyone handles their part

Kitchen and bar work at the same time. One tap says “preparing”, another says “ready”.

05 — back at the table

It's ready and comes back

Waiters see what is ready to take out. Guests see their order on its way.

06 — back at the table

The bill splits itself

Each phone is one person: all together, or everyone pays their own. Someone who has paid and left can't order for the table again.

What about guests who don't want the QR?

Your waiter orders for them. Bookings come in on their own.

  • Waiters order on their own phone. Tap the table, tap the dishes, and the order lands in the kitchen like any other. For guests who won't scan the QR, or a table of ten.
  • Bookings come from your website. Guests pick the day and time, the table is held, and you confirm in one tap. No commission per person.
  • We'll come to you. Ask for a visit and one of our technicians installs the tablets, puts up the QR codes and trains your team.

The menu speaks the reader's language

You write in Portuguese. Tourists read in theirs.

  • You write the menu once. Ementeer translates it into English, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Dutch, and keeps it.
  • The phone picks the language itself, and guests can change it in one tap. The kitchen always gets it in Portuguese.
  • Correct whatever you like, and your correction is never overwritten by the next translation. Traditional names stay in Portuguese.

FishChef's suggestion

Done once, kept. You don't pay for every guest who reads it.

The team

Everyone sees what is theirs.

Five roles you can explain in one sentence, plus anything else you want to give each person: the menu, the analytics, the stock. Invite them by email and each opens straight on their own screen. You don't pay per person.

  • This tablet is the kitchen. It connects with a 6-digit code, no accounts or passwords in a greasy kitchen, and only sees its own queue.
  • Everyone hears what is theirs. The kitchen rings for new orders, waiters for table calls, the manager for whatever goes wrong.
  • Everything is on record. Who changed a price, who closed a bill, who switched off a screen.
Purchases and stock

One photo of the invoice. Stock takes care of the rest.

Photograph the invoice from the cash & carry, the butcher or the fishmonger. Ementeer reads it, puts the items in your pantry and, from then on, knows what is running out.

  • The exact numbers come from the invoice's QR code, and the AI reads the rest twice. Anything that doesn't add up is flagged: nothing is saved until you confirm.
  • It converts pack sizes. “Olive oil 5 L” × 4 goes in as 20 litres. The second time a supplier writes it that way, it already knows.
  • The AI estimates each dish's recipe (how much octopus goes in a portion) and you correct it. Stock goes down with every order.
  • It warns you before you run out, at the rate you sell, with a shopping list per supplier, ready for WhatsApp.
  • The real cost of each dish, at invoice prices, and a warning when a supplier raises a price.

Your restaurant's look

A colour, the light, the corners and the typeface. We take care of contrast and legibility: an “ugly” colour won't ruin the menu.

The menu

It looks like your restaurant, not ours.

  • Photograph the menu and the AI suggests the dishes, prices and categories. You confirm, and it's done.
  • Sold out? One tap. The dish stays on the menu, marked, on every phone.
  • Breakfast, lunch, dinner: each category has its own hours. Ordering opens and closes on its own.
  • The 14 allergens, chosen by you, and guests can hide the dishes they can't eat. We never guess allergens with AI.
The numbers

When tables fill up, what sells, what doesn't.

  • Sales per day and your best day of the week, compared with the previous period (the same time yesterday, not the whole day).
  • Peak hours, by day of the week, to plan your shifts.
  • The dishes that earn most (with the recipe cost) and those that haven't sold in weeks.
  • How long each station takes, and how many tickets run late. No finger-pointing: the kitchen sees its own numbers.
  • PDF and CSV report for your accountant, and what you bought against what you sold.

Your restaurant's website

Your website, built from your menu.

People looking for a restaurant look for the menu, the hours and the way there. Ementeer builds the site from what it already knows (dishes with photos, hours, address, a booking button) and keeps it right: change a price on the menu and it changes on the site.

  • On your own domain. www.yourrestaurant.pt, with the padlock. Ementeer stays underneath.
  • Three designs with your colour, your logo and your typeface.
  • In your visitor's language, like the menu.
  • Ready for Google: hours, address and menu written the way Google likes to read them.
Pricing

One plan, with everything. No commissions.

Orders, kitchen, bookings, website and pantry, for one price. You pay the same whether you sell a lot or a little, and your team isn't counted per person.

14 days free with everything, no card. At the end you decide whether to stay, and if not you pay nothing.

Each extra restaurant adds €49.00 a month. A group with more restaurants? Talk to us.

Questions

What people usually ask.

Do my guests have to install an app?

No. They scan the QR with their phone camera and the menu opens in the browser: no account, no sign-up. The Ementeer app is for your team (and the kitchen and bar tablets).

How does the kitchen know what's theirs and the bar what's theirs?

Each menu category says where it is prepared. An order with a dish and a drink splits into two tickets: one goes to the kitchen tablet, the other to the bar's. Each screen only sees its own queue.

How do I connect a tablet to the kitchen?

In the dashboard, under Screens, choose “Connect a screen”, the type and the queue, and a 6-digit code appears. Type the code on the tablet and it serves that queue, with nobody signing in. If the tablet goes missing, disconnect it with one tap.

Who sees what?

There are five roles: owner (everything), manager (everything except the plan), tables (confirms orders, answers calls, closes bills), kitchen and bar (only their queue) and table runners (only what is ready). You can give each person something extra, such as seeing and changing the menu or seeing the analytics. A shared screen never touches management.

Can I confirm orders before they go to the kitchen?

Yes. In Settings you choose whether orders go straight to the kitchen or the floor team confirms them first. At the counter and for take-away, you can require payment before an order moves on.

How does stock work?

You photograph the supplier's invoice (the cash & carry, for example): Ementeer reads the items, converts pack sizes (“Olive oil 5 L” × 4 = 20 L) and puts them in stock. Each dish has a recipe (the AI estimates it, you correct it), so stock goes down as you sell and Ementeer warns you when an item is running out, with a shopping list per supplier.

Can the AI misread an invoice?

It can, so it never saves on its own. It reads twice, uses the invoice's QR code (which carries the exact values) and checks the sums; anything that doesn't add up is flagged for you. Only what you confirm goes into stock and purchases.

What about allergens?

Each dish has the 14 legal allergens, chosen by you, and guests can hide the dishes they can't eat. Ementeer never guesses allergens with AI: it's a safety matter.

How much does it cost?

One plan, Full Service, with everything: €89.99 a month. Paying monthly, there is a one-off joining fee of €100.00 with the 1st month included. Paying yearly, you pay 10 months and get 12, with no joining fee. Your team isn't charged per person and there's no commission per order.

Is there a lock-in? Can I leave whenever I want?

There's no lock-in. Cancel whenever you like and access stays until the end of the paid period. Your menu and your data stay yours: you can take your numbers and delete the account.

What about guests who don't want to use their phone?

Your waiter orders for them on their own phone: tap the table, tap the dishes, and the order lands in the kitchen like any other. The QR helps, it doesn't force anyone.

Does it replace my invoicing software?

No. Ementeer handles orders, the kitchen and stock, but it doesn't issue invoices: you keep your certified invoicing software. It records how each bill was paid (cash, card, MB WAY) so things add up at the end of the day.

Do I need to buy equipment?

No. The phone or tablet you already have will do, as long as it's online. Kitchens and bars usually keep a tablet, which connects with a code. Ementeer doesn't print tickets on a kitchen printer yet.

Who sets this up for me?

You can do it all yourself in a few minutes, with the menu coming in from a photo. If you prefer, ask for a visit and one of our technicians comes to the restaurant to install the tablets, put up the QR codes and train your team.

Do you take a commission on orders?

No. Ementeer doesn't touch your guests' money: it records how the bill was paid (cash, card, MB WAY) and that's it. You pay the subscription and nothing else.

What if the internet goes down?

The menu keeps the cart on the guest's phone and says when there's no connection. Kitchen screens show when they lose the network and come back on their own. For service with no network at all, Ementeer isn't the right tool.

Are my data and my guests' data safe?

The guest menu uses no cookies and tracks nobody. Each restaurant only sees its own data, passwords and secrets are encrypted, and you can delete the account (and everything in it) whenever you like.
